Iam going from fowlr to a full reef tank. I have a 45gall, with a 7 gall. refuge, gravity feeding to a 16 gallon sump. The return is handled by a cap 3000 pump. Iam taking 70 lbs of lr that was in the fo tank. There is absolutly no coraline on the rock because itwas in a tank with no lighting for almost a year. my question is how should I go about getting the corraline to take oFF? Should I by a few peices from the lfs that have alot on them and put them in the tank in an area with alpt of water movement? any help would be great, thanks ricky

thanks for the fast reply. That was the only logical thing I could think of. I want to stay away from the chemical supplements, because you have to put so many others in the tank anyways. I want to keep the chemicals to a min. If you have any luck with the supplement let me know. I AM on this forum every night, thanks again for the info. ricky

on top of dripping kalk you could try some kent tech cb parts A and B. I have been adding that to my tank as well. I was told by my lfs that he has seen good results. I can't tell because i've used it since day one but my rock is almost completely covered, except the new piece I got a few months back. I haven't been adding the Tech CB as often though.

Thats where you are wrong. You want to see purple, pink, maroon, blueish/purple and even green. I have about 6 or so shade of coraline. I love the maroon and the blueish purple the best.

I have a totally purple tank. I just bought some rock with some coraline algea on it, kept my calcium at about 450-500 and it spread like crazy. Good luck!

Coral-vital. As soon as I started using this it took off! Most of my rocks are totally purple now. I would just like to get some other colors now. It is also good for the fish and corals and if I am right it is also a Marc Weiss. All the guys at the lfs use it.
