i got word of a place that sell 260g glass tanks for $600 and was woundering if that would be enough tank for a white spotted bamboo shark. or any other shark
i dont see why not
every body says that the bambo sharks can be in a minimum of 180 gallon aquariums seeing that you have 260 I dont see why not
but the again im not the shark expert
sharks are very very messy. you could have a huge sump full of LR thats what most people do,includeing me. and yes sharks do need caves but make sure the rockwork you do have is very stable they move rocks and make them fall alot.
So are you planning on buying this from {edit- link} or hatching it yourself ? if this is a first shark? I strongly recommend you dont hatch it getting them to eat is either very easy or hard as {edit-language}. But I feel more attached to my sharks since I hatched them myself.
Theres a good refrence site.lol
Well - since no one else has asked - I will.
What is the tanks footprint (length & width) ?
The reason I ask this - is because this is the true way to tell if a tank is the right size for the shark you have in mind.
Since Whitespotted Bamboos can get to at least 3 ft long. The tank should be at least 3 ft wide & 6 ft long - or you may have to go with a smaller shark - like a Coral cat or a Grey Bamboo(only grows to 2.5').
