well at close examination they are not complete circles....they are actually just kinda curled up looking like a "C" shape. They are very very small so I kinda ruled out Planaria, but could it be?

Spirorbid worms.

Quote:
Name: Spirorbis sp. (Spirorbid Worm)
Source: Hitchhiker on live rock
Number: Too many to count
Notes: Spirorbid worms are yet another critter that seem to make it into nearly every tank. They quickly cover the rocks, glass, powerheads, and any other hard surfaces in the tank, including snail shells. Despite this pest-like quality, they are harmless filter feeders and are beneficial, if anything.

they're usually one of the first things that starts to outbreak when you setup a new tank. i usually get algae followed by hydroid jellies followed by spirorbids and mini dusters... then comes the coralline! they will eventually start to die off and get covered in coralline. you will only see a few in a month or two. you will actually see the coralline start to grow around them like a bullseye, its probably because the coralline feeds off the calcium in their "shells".

well my tank is approaching 10 months...i've had the hair algae, majanos etc...but i've never had this before...off topic real quick it all started after adding a new live rock into my aquascape (paid 10 bucks for it and got a tube worm orange and white sponges, and a green mushroom polyp). I added this rock about a month ago...I killed the majanos off, and all the sudden I get this infestation....I got one out of the tank from the glass and it's like a shell...it's hard as can be....does this still sound like the Spirorbid Worm you speak of?
