I could I suppose...but it wouldn't help much if we weren't using the same test brand. I use the Salifert calcium test kit...and just so you'll know the color change is rather dramatic. Not much room for error.
What brand test are you using?

Aw Dude,
Get another test kit.;) Thats the Dry Tab Kit and Boy do they SUCK:p (MY OPINION)
I started out with one of those and every time I did a test I'd walk around the house asking everyone around "Is this Blue or Green or Bluegreen or more of a Greenishblue?"
I'm serious none of those paper charts colors ever matched the color of the stuff in the test tube.
I finaly tossed it, Now I use the Fastest system and its a lot easier to get a color match I can believe in.
A lot of people on this forum use the Salifert Test kits, and swear by them. I haven't used them , but thats only because I live twenty miles from the Foster/Smith Warehouse-outlet and they dont carry Salifert.
And that PH test is a joke what are the range colors? 7.6-8.0-8.4
You'd be better off testing by Taste:D

ROTFLMAO. I agree get a diffrent test kit. I try to look for a positive color change from anything above zero. Meaning that zero is pure white anything above that turns a peach color. Salifert makes a great test kit for NH3/NH4.

that would be the aquarium pharmicudicals kit that he has. I would go to agree with all. I bought one when I first started and I had half the world guessing at the colors and trying to see what was what. I went to LFS and go Red Sea master super humpty combo that LFS guy put together. It will test anything one could think of, only cost about 10 bucks more and better yet I can tell what is what.

Yes I seen a master test kit sold at another site that had everything except copper. The total cost was I think $208 do the math your better off buying it at this site. Also some of the test kits are a little complicated. Its very good to see someone getting into the hobby that doesnt mind shelling out some cash to understand how water chemestry works. It kinda funny when people just learning about the hobby are so willing to throw expensive corals into a system without a good accurate test kit or any STANDARD reef test kit. My idea of a standard reef test kit is amonia, nitite, nitrate, alkalinity, PH, calcium, and phosphate. All of these test from the salifert line are very simple to use (not sure about the PH test. I use tropic marin for this). With this arsinal of tests you can achive a very nice stable reef. If you want to add other test kits go ahead by all means to learn.
