Could someone tell me what this is pls.....

The subject critter came attached to Gulf of Mexico aquacultured live rock. It is a very dark red in color, about 2-1/2 in long, 1 in dia, surface looks like it is groved. It is alive, and firmly attached to a rock. There is a blow hole on the top about middle of the length and a blowhole on one end. It doesn't ever move, just inflates and deflates occassionally. I have had it for 6 months and there is no problem but I have not been able to come up with an ID from the internet. Any help is appreciated.

That was my first thought, but aren't sea cucumbers free roaming....this is attached firmly to the live rock and never unhitches.

Agree, its a tunicate.
