could this hurt anything?

well we have a maroon clown that is about full grown, very big, and out of all the stuff in our tank to host, he picked our small toadstool, the thing is half his size, he cant even fit on top of it, but rubs up next to it and swims near it all day, wont leave its side unless its feeding time. will this hinder the growth of the toadie at all being it is so small and he is big? TIA

yea ive heard that clowns hosting leathers is good for the coral, but im wondering if with the toadstool being so small (about half the size of the maroon) could he harm it at all by hosting it? thanks

There is always a potential for harm....but there is little you can do at this point other than removing one or the other. Just keep a close eye on them and take appropiate action if the leather declines. My tomato clown has hosted with my short tentacle plate for close to two years now with no apparent damage...so best of luck.
