why do they have that Skynyrd rip off that Kid Rock stole and put his own lyrics to on the commercial for the CMA's??? i highly doubt that when Lynyrd Synyrd was in their prime that the CMA's would have considered them "country"... not to mention its freakin Kid Rock!!! makes no sense...

country music is an oxymoron... i was just pointing out that they are using Kid Rock for the commercial... yet another "brilliant" thing about the CMA's...
the reason i bring it up is because i have seen the commercial 1,000,000 times watchin football today...

Actually Skynard won a CMA award last year for their crossover hit. They went country like many other Rock and Blues people. Kid Rock was up for a country award a couple years ago with Sheryl Crow. Hate to tell you, but today's country isn't that olsd Nashville twang stuff you heard years ago. Beats the heck out of that Rap junk they play on the radio. Like they say, "You can't spell crap without rap".

It was just the lead singer from Skynyrd who did the country album with his brother. Skynyrd is still safely intrenched in the rock camp. Skynyrd did play a CMA music festival/
Country music is a valuable art form. It keeps the rednecks outta the rock n roll bars

Define Rock. As far as Rock awards, they already have them. They've had multiple number 1 songs on both the country and pop charts. They've won Grammy's, AMA's, and virtually every other music award there is. Ever listen to their music?

lmao... youre missing the point... Kid Rock genres are hard rap, rap rock, alternative rock, southern rock and a couple country songs...
rascal flats... country or top 40...
the commericial is for the CMA's... his name is KID ROCK... he stole a song that is southern rock and rapped to it... is there a new genre known as southern rap countrified rock???

Hey, I agree with you on Kid Rock. He's in the same league as Vanilla Ice. The only reason it's being played so much is because it's been on the top of the country charts for a couple of weeks. The CMA's are just trying to pull in the other music genres crowds. If that means getting Kid Rock to make some Lynard Skynard knock-off, so be it. I imagine the Skynard boys must be all right with it, otherwise there would be a copyright infringement lawsuit already filed.

Sort of agreeing with Bionic (
lol), they're like mainstreaming like everyone else, and trying to get their piece of the pie, just like everyone else. Within 5 years, you'll see Usher or Akon up for an award too, bet on it..

youre predicting they will still have flourishing careers in 5 years??? R & B artists pop up daily get their 1 to 10 "hits" and then POOF...
