couple of Q's

I have recently setup a 100gl tank and decided to go with MH lighting..
how many and what wattage would be good on this setup that will eventually be a reef tank??
and I was wandering how the wiring works for MH ?
do I need to run a new poower supply for it?
does it plug into a standard 110w plug??
sorry if these are stupid Q,s but I really dont have any experience with them

What types of corals are you going to keep?
MH lights need a ballast just like PC or VHO. The ballast steps up the voltage.
