Cover or not to cover, that is the question

I just got my outer orbit pro series HQI/T5/LED lights in and I need to know if I leave the glass cover on my aquarium or not? Waiting on your answers! Thanks in advance!

How big is your tank? I do know those babies run hot. Some people have removed the glass covers to help with keeping things cool, but it's dependent what type of livestock you have.
Do you have any jumpers (gobies, some clowns, some angels), or escapes artists (eels and some starfish) in your tank?
Depending on hot big a temp spike you get, you may have to get a chiller.

I'd get rid of the glass tops and depending on whether you have any livestock that is known to jump I'd get some eggcrate to cover the tank with so you'll still have plenty of air flow and gas exchange.

Thanks rudedog40 and dragonzim, the glass is coming off. Its a 110g.tank. The egg crate is a wonderful idea, thanks again.
