Cowboys Coaching problems

I would like to see a Jones , Johnson Reunion , would Jimmie consider coaching again ...
Next up on the list I would like to see the Cowboys go for Marty Shottenheimer if he is shunned out of SD.
As for Parcells one can only hope he becomes the next GM for the Giants , I am so sick of old Booby boy ....

Ok I was running out of break time , now I can elaborate on my thoughts.
Parcells has shown me that he does not have the abiolity to make in game adjustments.
And his old school game plan just is not going to hack it in todays NFL
Coaches do not want to coach with this guy IE ...... Zimmer.
He is way to indecisive. Jones should not be putting up with Parcells not knowing if he wants to coach .... you either do or you dont. If not let us know so we can go after some head coaches and address other pressing issues.
Parcells clearly shouldnt be coaching in the NFL ...
And what is this with Keyshawn Johnson saying he will be back with the Cowboys and the Cowboys are going to cut TO........ He is dreaming , why would the Cowboys want Johnson .... he under acheived when he played for us.
I think the Cowboys should trade Jones and Bledsoe for a good O Lineman.

Recycled head coaches in the nfl have not faired well the second or more times arounf if a SB is the goal.
Quick List:
Couglin
Schottenheimer
Parcells
Vermeil
Gibbs
Green
Shell
Dungy
Mora, Sr
Holmgren
Seifert
Ditka
That is just based on a one minute thought. It appears the young coordinators fair better. You had your head coach in Sean P....but Jones wanted Parcells last year and still wants him.
Also, you need to look at Jerry Jones in the GM roll. What has Dallas done over the last 10 years? If you had a different GM Jones would have fired him years agom
As for Jimmy Johnson...I doubt you will see him in Dallas. Also, he did not set the world on fire when he coached Miami...add his name to the list above.

Parcells is one of the toughest coaches in the NFL. He's got one more year in his contract and the only way he'll walk away if Jerry Jones wants to keep T.O. I guarantee you Parcells will give Jerry Jones an ultimatum. "Either T.O. goes or I go." So the Tuna will stay one more year. Deal with it.

Not a chance, TO will end his career in Dallas , Parcells will not set that ultimatem on the table , he will leave before he does that , Jones wouldnt accept that either , Parcells doesnt run the Team Jones does , Parcells would coach for ONE more year , they have a great player in TO for 3 years with the contract extension coming up

look into tomlin. great coach and is young, energetic, and fiery. he will be if not a head coach this coming year then the next. he is the next big thing for an up and comer coach and he isnt a collge coach who wants to control everything and cant do it and he isnt a coach that no one wanted, after all if they were fired they were fired for a reason.

I disagree with the Parcells take. He has not done much with the Cowboys. I would label him a good coach...but no longer tough and/or great or even solid.
The game IMO...has past him by. Each year with the Cowboys his team has faded down the stretch.
One more year? What for? I believe Ocenaists is correct...time for a change, provided Jerry Jones does not hire a Switzer or a Campos. THat would be a step back.
What will Parcells do next year? He has had more than enough time to make a difference. THe team is no closer to the SB than his first year.

OK then - tell me this - why hasn't Jerry Jones interferred all season ? I'll tell you why - Parcells got what he wanted and that is be the top decision-maker for the Cowboys. If jerry had butted in and complained - Parcells would have been gone a long time ago. I think T.O. will be gone. Terrell has too many issues because he's a moron and a crybaby. Noticed he hasn't mouthed off to Parcells this year. T.O. is done and outta of Dallas !! Nobody in the right mind will pick him up. Besides, T.O. is contracted by the Cowboys for one year. Bye, bye, T.O. !!!

I really do not know what level of interference Jones has. I only see him standing on the sidelines at some key points in games.
I'm not a Dallas fan and could care less if they keep Parcelss or not...if Me-O stays or goes. I am a football fan...and beleive there are several/issues/problems with the Cowboys. As long as they continue..as a Saints fan...its one less team in contention. I'm sure in the past other fans viewed the Saints as a check in the win column.
I would assume no one knows on this board if Jones interferes or not. However, over the past 10 years, Jones has failed miserably in the GM roll. No playoff victories, no SUper Bowls, etc. Like coaching...as GM past achivements get you so far. if Jones was not the owner but the GM...the owner would have tossed him many years ago. JMO

Jones is a loyal man and sticking to his contract that he put out for Parcells, Parcells keeps promising success and has done nothing but failed miserably , you can blame parcells for zimmer leaving. No one wants to coach with him anymore because he does not have the knowledge needed to coach with todays coaches. TO will play for the Cowboys throughout the rest of his career , he has 2 years left on his contract he isnt going anywhere, you think nobody would want him now? what about in 2 years when is contract is up and he is 35 , he is going to be very loyal to the Cowboys I havent heard a peep out of TO's mouth since the Cowboys failed miserably in the playoffs , and that would be the time where he would have exploded. With a 2 catch performance and hardly ever looked at.
Parcells I would have to say is probably one of the worst coaches in the league in this age. I now know why Payton was not succesful in Dallas , He always had to deal with the shadow and commands of Big Bill. Any other coach and the cowboys probably would have gone further and been stronger , alot of the losses this year could be bnlamed directly on coaching ability,
Scuba is right the Cowboys would be better off parting ways with good ole Billy. As long as another Switzer or Campo isnt picked up. I dont mind Jerry as a GM he has picked up quality players, he just hasnt faired well in the coaching dept other than Zimmer.
I remember the good old day of Alvasono I loved that guy. ST master!

Not that tough to predict as all the insiders on the nfl network, etc have stated he will be back. As for Me-O......I'm not so sure, parcells believes first in the running game...so why pay the guy all the $? IMO...not worth the risk of the potential circus.
I doubt the Wins would have been less if some other average receiver played for the COwboys this year. All I needed to see was Fred THomas with the SAints shut this guy down most of the night to know he was as I thought...declining.
Just my opinion..and I hope Dallas keeps them both.

Parcell will stay b/c he has no where to go. I really thought he may be headed back to the Gaints but now that Coughlin is staying thats out. He is also due a bunch of cash I believe. Jones has the best he can get right now. I don't see him taking a chance on a young coach. Maybe he'll wait a year and try and get Cower (sp?)
TO and Glenn are due big bucks in the spring. I think 8 mil for TO due in June and 5 mil for Glenn in May could be the other way round. Still lots of time for that to go down.
Thats a lot of cash to give Me-o and for what? I think there are better ways to spend that money. Yes he has been a good boy but there's still time to screw it up. I just don't think they'll pay him.
I would agree that there are several teams that would take the chance but are they any better than the Boys?

Could be much worse! Just look at the Fins. Mike Shula, Chan the man and Mora.
I really thought they would go hot and heavy on Cower after Carrol said no.......

Well Parcells did resigned from Dallas and it looks like T.O. is staying. News didn't say why but I'm suspecting he did give Jerry Jones the ultimatum behind closed doors.

Word from many insiders was that he was staying. I beleive that was before Jones publicly stated TO would definitely be back. last week or the week previous
I'm curious to see who the next Dallas hire will be...could be Wade Phillips. I know Switzer is still available and Campos would probably come back.
I've not read anything as of yet but I did hear he decided not to return today.
Curious as to the timing and why it took so long to decide. many top candidates have already been signed or have a foot in the door elsewhere.
He will have to find a coach willing to live with Me-O ...or.....the new coach may insist he go.
Also, Gruden was rumored earlier this year to be interested if Parcells left......and then gave the flat out denial....how often has that happened?
Perhaps the handwriting was on the wall when Zimmer jumped ship.
