Great to hear that several of you have had good results with dipping. But from a
health aspect, you are simply lucky, thats all. The water pressure between salt water and fresh water is VERY different. When you take a marine fish from a pressure
that his body was designed to work in and put him in one thats foreign, its no different then taking a human who breathes oxygen and putting him under water. With many hearty fish, thats a fine thing to do for very quick moments, but dont fool yourself into believing its harmless to the fish. Talk about abrupt decompression !!
I can guarantee you that at some point you will dip a fish who wont survive it. Why not
invest in a UVfilter and not have to worry about ich in any case. Your water will be clearer, your fish will not be stressed, and you wont end up flushing 100.00 fish down the toilet
