CPR BAK-PAK simple question

I have a cpr bak-pak 2 that has worked great for years... today I found a generation 1 bak pak for $5 and couldnt pass it up. What is odd to me is that there is no outtake like the version 2. Can anyone help me out or show me a picture of the factory setup? I'm thinking of drilling a hole and adding a pvc pipe version to match the setup of the 2nd version...but want to see the factory setup first.

hey thanks guys... looks like this is the not-so-old SR2 that is an in sump model... that worked out great...as I have a 30 gallon sump on my 55. Do you think I could make it like the CPR 2 with the addition of the pvc return?

OK... i need a piece that will allow a max-jet pump to bring in air as well as water to the intake of the cpr.. dont know if this is a part missing from the cpr or if it comes with a max-jet pump
