CPR Bak-Pak

is this a reliable skimmer does any one own one or can tell me something about it.

I have a 2R on my 29. I like it a lot. It's equipted with the optional bubble trap/surface skimmer.

The cpr bak paks are a good low cost skimmer that can handle tanks under 40g. really well. I decided to keep my old one just oncase i start a small reef and to cure liverock.

I have mixed feelings on this skimmer. I works ok on smaller tanks, but doesnt quite cut it on bigger 55+ sized tanks.

so whod a prizm be better for a 50 and is it better in genral?

Prizms are peices of crap, dont waste your money on them. CPRs are ok just dont expect any miracles from them and hope you get a Rio skimmer from a good batch. I have had two CPRs and one Rio on them crapped out within the first 6 months. They other one still works fine after 2 years of running.
