I use one on my 37g reef tank. Pretty good HOB skimmer and will work on a 55 gal tank. They can be prone to putting alot of bubbles into your tank as that is the main topic of complaint on their website message board. Also it comes with a POS rio power head which you will need to either replace or clean once a month. Overall I do not regret buying mine even though the constant stream of bubbles it sometimes produces can be annoying.

Been happy with mine, not very noisy and easy to clean. Took a week or so to get the bubbles worked out, but once it was broke in its been fine. I have it on a 30 gallon.

I've had two cpr bak-bak 2s for about 3 week on my 75 gallon and so far I love them, I had an old seaclone before that and I like the bak-paks alot better, the seaclone would always spit micro-bubbles into the display tank, especially after water changes.

Due to my inability to email you I tried to catch you on your most recent post...
Have read many of your posts on the Stockman standpipe (great photos by the way)...
Could you offer any directions, websites, etc. on construction?
Thanks...
By the way I use the natural method of nutrient export... mangroves in a cpr HOB refugium...

I just put mine in two days ago. It only took 24 hours for the excess bubbles to go away (I have a bubble trap as well). After you see what crud it pulls out, you will be happy you have one!
