CPR Overflow Poll

Hey I was in your shoes for like 2 monthes trying to find the perfect overflow. Did many hours of resach and found from other peoples experice that they stink! Others may disagree but I have heard horror stoprys I would defently recoommened a LIFE REEF OVEFLOW or a iy made by a profesional thats wher I am now with a diy! Good luck:D

That's all I had for a couple years. It worked well for me. I did hook the siphon tube to a ph though. That way when the power went off, and eventually came back on, the siphon started instantly via the ph. Now I have a RR tank with internal overflow.......no worries there.
 
As I mentioned in another thread, I love my CPR overflows. Works great no problems whatsoever. Lifereef may have a good one as well...haven't checked it out. I use a rio 800 protwin in the back of my overflow for a continuous siphon. Love the small in tank profile. No J tubes!

Biased opinion though. ( because I bought one )
Never used the CPR - I didn't want to rely on a powerhead to insure the overflow works right.
Sometimes powerheads don't start up when electric is restored.
Most times they do.

I haven't had any trouble with mine either. Haven't removed it from the tank since I got 2 yrs ago. Have more trouble with the Mag return pump restarting after a power outage.
