Crab Id Please

Should we keep this guy in our sump or get rid of him. Something is eatting one of our leather corals. Could this be the culprit?

There would be nothing wrong with keeping him in the sump away from anything he could harm. Cool looking guy but I wouldn't trust him.

Agreed...he looks cool!!! I have a gorilla crab in mine...I love him...scares the hell out of my 4 year old daughter!!! LOL

There are thousands of species of crabs... it's sometimes very difficult to ID crabs unless they are common.

yes to hard to identify , but dosnt look like something ide want im my display tank

I think he is a coral crab known as Atergatis floridus
