Crab ID Please...

Girlfriend went to the LFS to get some more cleanup crew and she got a crab and forgot its name.... They had quite a few of them she said, I am just trying to figure out what it is and if its safe for our Reef tank....
The lady that helped her told it her should be fine and looked it up in a book they had too and said it was ok, she just forgot the name.
Anyway, I don't have a picture of it right now unfortunatly but Ill try to describe it the best I can....
It has a bright orange shell (carapace?), kinda short point legs, didn't pay much attention to its pinchers. It had black legs with white/clear tips. It also had long eyestalks.
Any help is appreciated. We only have fish and live rock (and cleanup crew) right now, but will be adding corals soon so I want to know if I have to ditch the crab or not.
Thanks,
Josh

is it a strawberry crab?
No it doesn't look like that, I just googled that. Its weird it only has orange on the top part of its shell. Everything else is black, and then it has really long eyes (not extremely long, but much longer than say an emerald crap).
The people at my local fish store usually know their stuff, so I doubt they would have sold her something that isn't safe (or supposed to be safe), but I would just like to know what it is. He found a hole in a rock and has stayed there since he was put in the tank now.

Lost the crab today... Saw some of my Peppermint shrimp crawling on him and knew he didn't make it....
Parameters of the tank all look good, other fish are all acting fine... Don't know if its because of my sudden temp fluctuation problems from the heat out and he couldn't take the changes..
I took a picture of him and will try to get them up tomorrow.

are you sure it isn't just a molt?

That was my exact thought......Our sally lightfoot has molted twice since getting it and the first time I thought it was dead and the second time my husband thought the same thing. He had even taken the molt out and examined it and STILL thought the crab was dead! It was amazing to both of us how lifelike the molt was.
