crab ID please

this crab came in on some live rock awhile back(two weeks) hasnt hurt anything but i moved it to a different tank and got curious what its called
its about an inch and a half, looks similar to an emerald crab but its a dark brown color(looks black in the pictures) and its legs aren't hairy, it doesnt look like a gorilla crab either

im guessing its just a dark variation of a mithrax(emerald)crab but im no expert by any stretch

What do the pincers look like? Are the ends pointy or blunt? Generally speaking, if I find a crab I can't identify, it goes in the sump.

there, you can see the claws, it hasnt hurt anything so i didnt wanna move it to my fuge, but if i need to, i will

claws look blunt to me, like an algea eatter.

I just found a hitchhiker crab that looks just like that one in you pics. Did you ever find out if it is a emerald or somthing else?

Its a algae eating crab. Good find!

im still assuming its a mithrax(emerald crab), just picks at the rocks all day, my shrimp and sea hare crawl all over it and it doesnt do a thing, very docile
