Crab ID?

Hi, I saw these at a LFS and had never seen them before and the price was cheap. So I picked them up. I have them in my fuge right now unless someone can ID them as a reef safe species. Thanks!

i read another thread they had a crab similar to them, it was a moon crab or something like that, anyway ive heard they are sand sifters

Yeah, i saw that, but couldnt find anything under that name.

i have always heard that if they have blue eyes and blunt claws they are reef safe for the most of crabs...please correct me if im wrong though!

I just got a reply form Dr Ron. They are blue soldier crabs. Semi reef safe but they will eat snails and clams.
