wow i never seen one with long front claws...is it alive in the pic.
crabs are tough got alot of them in my tank. I have removed 32 to day...i made a trap to get them out and it is working good just cant seem to get the giant jimmy i have in there. someone will be able to id it.

yes they were.....i may have killed the big jimmy...shame i wanted to share a pic of this beast. he crawled in a whole in the bottom rock in my display i was not going to take all the rock out to get the big one on the bottom so i went in after him with twessers i had ahold of him a couple of times and but he was not coming out and i may have stabbed him repeatly during this time. i have not seen him since....i got some more live rock yesterday and found a red and white pistol shrimp in my trap...cool find i put him back in. I only caught 5 more crabs this morning so i think i am at the end of it....

the jimmy lives......saw him a half hour ago.....how can a crab live thew being stabbed over and over....ugh he is to big for my traps i think i may have to get a crab pot out of my boat....lol i think i will just name him and say f--k it

UGH! I stabbed mine numerous times on purpose because I couldn't get him out and he still lived. They're EVIL. Do you have any way of QT'ing the rock he's in? It's the only way I got mine out.

well it is the very bottom rock in my pile of 225 lbs+ 25 i added the other day and when i say bottom i mean bottom i will have to wait i think he is the last one i did not catch any more in my traps. nothing seems to be missing the couple corals i do have seem fine so i will wait a bit and see if i can catch him.

Good luck! You'll have to catch him sooner or later or he'll continue to eat your fish/inverts

i cut the top off a pepsi bottle turn it neck first into the bottle the can climb in but not out....its very easy
