crab Q?

I have had a strawberry crab in my tank for about two months now and it has not yet shed its shell. Is this normal and is there possibly something that I am doing wrong that is causing it not to shed (i.e. is there some trace element that I need to supplument for them to shed their shell or something)?
I used to have an emerald crab that lived for several months but never shed its shell and died without any apparent reason. I just don't want this crab to die as well because it was conciderably more expensive than the emerald and it's probably my favorite thing in the tank.

it will only shed as it grows some grow faster than others and all crabs and shrimp can have a problem molting and die as a result there isnt anything that you can do about it its just part of a living reef. just make sure you keep up on your water changes to keep up the trace elements and keep you other readings stable and where they need to be and when its ready to molt it will do it. you cant make it go faster.
