yes. i haver a bunch of them here and there in all of my tanks. they are nice to look at, and i've never seen them harm anything. they mostly filter feed with these 2 fan-like appendages all day and night. there is a white crab with spots also, but i believe that is referred to as an anemone crab. some call them porcelain crabs as well, and sell them as such. i believe they are in the same family, but i hear they will die without an anemone to host in.
it's just hear-say really. all i know are the caribbean types.

Do you supplement them with anything in the tank to eat besides their filter feeding abbilities??
Do you have a picture of them??

they are scavengers like other crabs. they will grab a passing by piece of food. when i'm feeding the corals, if i remember to, i'll blast some food their way. it's not important though. they get what they need. i've not had any die yet, except for one that had it's legs ripped off. i think it may have been a large emerald crab.
i haven't shot any decent pics of them, but this is the type-

They are neat, but I see in list from this store they list them as: Porcelin Crabs Arib~Nice! (Petrolisthes armatus) which is the white/maroon kind so I don't know if they really know which ones they are selling. When I talked with they guys yesterday he said they were a purple/blue which would be like the picture you sent me, but maybe they have them listed wrong on the sheet.
So now I have another question for you. My tank is a 2.8 gal nano/pico. It is a coral invert tank only no fish so my feeding is not like feeding with fish in it. I do feed my one hermit crab some pellets and spot feed the few corals I have too.
I am able to get Sexy Shrimp, Pom Pom Crab, Porcelain Crab (neopetrolisthes/petrolisthes)
