Crab?

I spotted what appeared to be a small green crab. It was approx 3/8" long and I only got a quick peek. He/she lives in a small hole in the rock that appears to have a "built up" opening. The opening is made from something but is not actually rock. I'll see if I can catch him in action tonight. Any ideas if I want to keep it or not?
New 150 gal tank

I have fiji rock too, and I got a emerald crab hitchhiker. Not for sure if they live in fiji also or maybe where ever you purchased it from also had carribean live rock in the same holding tank.
I really like mine pretty cool and have not seen it harm anything. I have even seen it pick up a snail and throw it out of the way to get to some formula 2 flake food.

Haven't seen the critter again. All I saw the first time was some green legs. His/her hole has a greenish buildup around it. The opening is pretty small, maybe 1/4". My tank is cycling now so, I'll keep an eye out. Haven't seen anything else...just rock, sand, and a soon-to-be-smelly shrimp carcass. By the way, the Aquatinics Constellation T-5 72" lights really light my whole house up at night. The neighbors probably think I either have a 200" TV or I'm doing nuclear experiments. Highly recommended light fixture.

I'll give it a try. Gonna be tough finding him in the dark. Scan with a flashlight? Any techniques for "poaching" critters at night?
Ok, I just checked the hole again. Now, it's about 1/8" in diameter. Whatever it is, decided to seal himself in.
