Crabs mixing, big and little?

i've never really had a problem between big and small crabs either. i also take the opportunity, about once a week, to overfeed a little to provide the cleanup crew with some new fodder for their sustenance. anyway, i hope this helps....

Hey,
That shouldn't be a problem. What will happen is a hermit looking for a bigger shell to move into may kill a snail. Make sure you keep extra shells of various sizes in your tank so they can upgrade to a larger pad!

I have had this problem with left-handed hermits only. When left-handeds get big, they get a nasty attitude. Both of mine that got big started knocking off my smaller and more peaceful red legs and blue legs. Luckily, hermits are really easy to remove.

I've got red and blue hermits of assorted sizes and never had a problem....plenty of spare shells and make sure they get some food now and then....personally I like to watch them and they do a gr8 job of waste/pest removeal
