i just got mine today... i was thinking can i make a hole in the colelction cup to add pipe and run it to a bottle or something so i wont have to clean my colelction cup daily?

You can, but it will most likely lead to neglect, since you probably end up not cleaning the skimmer as often as you should. You have to take the collection cup off to clean it, which should be done weekly, so you're better just cleaning it and emptying it regularly. I have the same skimmer also. Just my two cents.

if you are going to try and drill the cup be very careful, they crack easy.
you can drill a hole (carefully) and put a air line tube in it with a dab of silicon, that should stop it from leaking.
I have mine draining into a 2 gallon pretzel container from costco, yes I ate the pretzels first!

haha nice... mine isnt working properly.. there is water in the airtube and there are no bubbles and i cant get the water out of the air tube i tried all night!
