I put all my clams on my sand bed -- but what kind of lighting in what kind of tank?

With t-5 lighting I'd try to find a nice spot at least half ways up without obstruction from the lights.

+1 with on the rockwork. the higher the better with crocea, since they r the most light demanding.

Mine's on the bottom shaded slightly by my frogspawn and toadstool doing just fine -- but I have halides with my t-5's.

In nature the crocea is a rock boaring clam. Their byssel (sp?) will eat a hole in the rock for the clam to nestle into.
Croceas are one clam that's better suited in the rocks.
