I have a75g tall tank, 250MH and 2x96 actinics. The tank is 36" tall, right now I have both my croceas in the sandbed, should I move them closer to the top and will they survive/anchor in or on LR?

I have 250s also with 2x96 actinics and 2x96 compacts. I have mine on the sand floor and he seems to be doing fine. I have only had him for a little over a week.

They are rock-boring clams and if placed on the sand bed should be place on a rock in the sand bed. Personally I'd move them up onto the rockwork.

Thanks, will move them and see if they are

Question, should I move them to the very top part of the tank or mid level?

The skimmer is too tall for the stand and so I had to make it work, can't close the stand door because skimmer sticks out....

Yeah, my arms and tank heigth were a learning curve.
Only way I can move stuff around is after a shower or before I put on deoderant, for obovious reasons. I've actually gotten my whole shoulder into the tank, almost up to my ear. I coun't count how many time's I've almost fallen off the chair. Try balancing a clam in one hand, one foot on the chair, one foot in the air and the other hand trying to to hold on while bent backwards trying to look thru the front of the tank to get a visual on where to put the ^%$$ clam....LOL

Look into a pair of tongs for your tank. They make them..they come from various companies. One is called aqua-tongs I think. They also come in several lengths.

They look great!! Both seem to be in good spots... but if they do not like how they are positioned they will kick themselves around so watch them over the next few days.
