Crushed Coral or Sand as Substrate

Which one is better & why? I'm starting me up a 55g FOWLR soon & am wondering. Thanks

sand all the way. crushed coral trapes fish waste and food etc. therefor elevating nitrate levels

sand is always the way to go, cc abosrbs the nitrates plus sand looks way better

Ok well than it seems like sand it will be. Is that the only reasons crushed coral is bad or is there other more serious things? Also what is a good sand ya'll recommend? I know in FW you can use pure plain play sand from like the Home Depot is that the same for SW? Thanks.

depends... i think there cant be silica
