crushed coral question!

i found a bag of crushed coral that i had for a while is this the same stuff that will clog up & cause problems? this is what the ad say's about it......
The only crushed coral with aragonite, which provides up to 25 times the buffering power of other crushed corals, dolomite, or oyster shell. Will eliminate chronic pH problems and provide maximum surface area for water purifying bacteria. Allows an increase in bioload by up to 50% and it will never need to be replaced. Can be used with calcium, but also carbonate buffer and essential trace elements such as strontium (up to 10,000 ppm). Mixed Grade. Grain size: 2.0 -5.5mm.

Crushed coral ime is terrible. I tried it for a long time before I finally accepted it wasn't right for what I wanted to do "reef tank" if using it for fish only or maybe freshwater but imo dont use that if you want corals worth the extra money to buy live sand right from the start.

i want to turn my filter into a fuge and i wanted to know if i could use it for it? along with lr/ & chaeto?

i've used cc for sometime now and never had a serious problem (that i didn't cause). my corals seem to be doing ok. although, i do like the look of LS.
