90 gal, 1perc clown, 10 blue legged hermits, 1 CBS tommorrow i will be receiving a shipment from SWF.com that has a Jawfish w/ it. I think i just realized that i should have sand and not Crushed Coral for the Jawfish. I currently have aprox. 3 inches of Crushed Coral in the tank. Am i gonna have to switch over to sand in order to keep the Jawfish, and if so what is the easiest way to do so without stressing the animals currently in the tank. Btw i also have about 90# of rock inside the tank.
Thanks,
George

Don't panic. They aren't like the sandsifters. They can handle fairly large sand. Not saying thats optimal. Just don't die of heartfailure. They will most likely burrow under your LR. They even move rubble around to their burrows. My worst problem was they like to go carpet surfin, so make sure your top is secure.

Jaws are jumpers cover your tank
If you want to you could try to top coat with a layer of fine sand...... It just depends on the size of the crushed coral. Just provide plenty of little caves and he'll find one

after my tank cycled i bought 2 perc clowns as my first fishes. I left for chicago 2 days after the purchase. Came back 3 days later to see that the one clownfish was dead, looked like the other clown had picked at him.
