will crushed coral irritate a moray or is it the same thing as them going through the rocks? my newer 75g is half BB with some sand and I was thinking about adding a 10 pound bag of crushed coral... any thoughts?

Eel’s natural habitat is rock formations not substrate. If you supply a suitable home for your eel via rocks or PVC pipe you should be fine

he has a PVC tunnel that goes along the back of the tank and rocks that go the whole length of the cave... so adding the crushed coral won't be a problem? will it affect anything or 10 pounds isn't enough to do any harm?

Morays have a thick leathery hide, so they should be fine. With the plan only adding 10#, grab 2 buckets and shallow bowl, and just sort through the CC first. Add all the CC to one bucket, then with the bowl scoop up some CC, sort through it and remove any dagger/blade like pieces, then dump the rest into the 'good' bucket. Just some further CYA.

No sweat I have snowflake and he actually moves the cc around his huge conch shell that he lives in. Will not bother them what so ever.
