Here's our Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Brought her home on April 10, she was 6 weeks old.
There really aren't a ton of Chessie breeders, so it was sort of get one from this litter, or wait a while. The breeder was way out on the Georgia/South Carolina border, so it was a long drive. Here's one on the car ride home.
At home April 11, next to Abbey, note the size comparison. Abbey is a smaller "true" Lab, about 75lbs.
This one was I believe the first week of June.
And I just took this one tonight. She is sleeping next to Abbey.
She's now 18.5 weeks old and just under 60lbs (58.5)!
Both parents were big, so she's going to be as well.
