Crystal like bubbles forming

I just noticed small crystal bubbles forming in my tank. They are attaching themselves everywhere to include the sand and rock. They are hard to notice at first but once you start looking for them they seem to be everywhere. It's not coming from the skimmer. Any opinions on what might be happening?

just air bubbles? are you sure that you have NO micro bubbles from your tank that could be comeing from a HOB filter or a powerhead?
it could be nitrogen bubbles, but those are usualy located in your sand bed.
