Cucumber on glass

(Sounds like a new dinner special...) <img src="graemlins//silly.gif" border="0" alt="[silly]" />
Anyway...I picked up a pink knobby cucumber last week and he immediately climbed midway up the front glass and has stayed there ever since. He seems fine, filter feeds regularly, and looks very healthy (so I suppose all is well).
However I had thought most cukes (including this one) typically drop down into the sandbed and rock structures...eating stuff there (along with filter feeding) and also grind your sand into a finer grain.
Tried moving him myself but man, he's REALLY stuck on there and I couldn't budge him (and of course don't want to injure him by doing so).
As long as y'all think he's ok on the glass I'll leave him, but does anyone think this is a concern???
Thanks!
Peace... <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

bump...still hasn't moved...I tried moving the return that he sits near...wondering if he just found an easy and accessible place to feed and doesn't wish to move...
No ideas out there at all?

i have a black nobby and i dropped him about a month ago and he still hasn't moved more than 2 inches but he is alive. I would leave him alone

I bought a pink cke about 3 months ago. He found a spot on the glass by a power head and has not moved since!! Yours will be fine! In these pics you can see were he is at. <a href="http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/thereefkeeper150g/lst?.dir=/My+Reef+Pictures&.src=ph&.order=&.view=t&.done=http%3a//photos.yahoo.com/bc/thereefkeeper150g/lst%3f.dir=/My%2bReef%2bPicture" target="_blank">http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/thereefkeeper150g/lst?.dir=/My+Reef+Pictures&.src=ph&.order=&.view=t&.done=http%3a//photos.yahoo.com/bc/thereefkeeper150g/lst%3f.dir=/My%2bReef%2bPicture</a> s%26.src=ph%26.view=t

Kung Fu...!
I started to read your post and had to make a double take...
I bought the Exact same breed Pink Knobby Sea Cucumber this past Sunday and exactly the same thing... Dropped him on the sand and within 1 hour he was climbing up on the glass and has been there ever since...
Same exact thing... trying to get him off... Filter feeds, everything exactly the same...
Still there although alive....
Does anyone have this same breed or has anyone experienced this that may have an idea.... Is this normal....? <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" /> <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" /> <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

Well...from the descriptions and pics that everyone has put up (thanks everyone) it seems this is normal!
BT...I guess the pink knobby's just hang out and filter feed...
Cool cukes though!
Peace...

If your's is like Duece's with the tenticles at one end yes it's a filter feeder. Mopping cukes don't have those "feelers" on them.
Nice creatures, but won't do a thing to clean your sand bed.
