Cucumber??

Ok, this may be the dumb question of the night...
A couple of days ago I started to bring down my salinity for hypo. I removed all the liverock and inverts or so I thought. A few months back I was given a cucumber and I thought had died.
Now, the salinity is almost all the way down-1.011 and out pops this guy tonight. About 3.5 inches when streched he was on the sand kind of just flopping. I had read that they can be toxic when they die so I pulled him and some sand and some higher salinity water from my other tank.
My first question is this -- Is this my lost cucumber and now what do I do with him? I can keep him in another tank till the hypo is done but could he be too far gone from the drop?

WOW...another amazing story of stuff disappearing and turning back up. I don't know the anwser, but that is wild. Sounds like you are doing all you can. He may come back around. Is that all that came out?

Also, you do know that all of that remaining live sand will no longer be LIVE?

Yeah, I started another thread to explain the situation last week. https://forums.saltwaterfish.com/t/313778/tank-transfer-ick-qt-feedback but it makes sense to do it this way. Anyway, no I havent seeen anything else-I just completely forgot about this guy.
Soo, it is the cucumber? cause if so he has grown about 5 times the size from when I saw and lost him(ie presumed dead)

I don't know for sure, but just going on what I can see from the pics, it looks like it could be a cucumber. It wouldn't surprise me that one hid out for that long.
