Culligan (wal-mart) RO water system???

Sounds like you have some REALLY bad water. I would also have the Culligan rep. check the operation of your water softener. You shouldn't have any calcium buildup with a water softener. Spending $$ & setting up a RO/DI unit with such bad water, you could be changing filters quite often.

I do indeed have really bad water. What else can I do?
Hauling jugs is getting old very fast.

I actually just purchased a new home and I installed a RO unit that I purchased about 2 weeks ago. The installation was painless (im 21 and figured it out) and took a sat off work to install. I bought a 5 stage and ran it to a faucet on my kitchen sink for drinking water, a line to my fridge for cold drinking water, and I ran a line to my garage where I am going to be mixing. If you pm me I can give you the place where I purchased it (online) and it was less that $200 shipped.
I am SO glad I made the purchase. Not only am I drinking better water so are the fish.
