just wondering if i should be concerned. i've been watching the flesh receed from the middle of the cup outwards. although, none of the polyps seem affecteed yet. All of the polyps are extending during the day.
Is it a pogada cup? If so, I am having the same problem and do not know what to do--I have asked here several times, with no definate answer. I will tag along with you to see if you get any good advice...So here's a bump for ya!
puts out a slime layer everday, I dont understand when you say the flesh is receeding from the center, and yet the polyps are fully extended. If the polyps are extended it appears to be healthy enough. Is the flesh jelyly like or is it a slimy coating?
Did you touch the coral, becuse they will peel off the area that was touched and then the polyps will open around the peeled areas?
slime layer everyday? you talking about brown stuff? i'm referring to the pogado cup coral's flesh that covers the calcium skeleton. then there are the polyps that extend out here and there on the cup... all or most of the lps corals are made up of a calcium skeleton cover in some parts by flesh.. part of the flesh on the top part of the cup is receding. i'll try and get a poic:happyfish
