Cuppermarine

hi, I recently got my clowns for about 1.5 days, they are doing fine... But I haven't put any medication in because they look fine... Should I start adding in a few days or so? And I know the medication stresses them out, should I follow the directions but do it slowly and make the dose half first?
As I said above they are doing fine right now no sign of ick

IMO most LFS that do not have interconnecting tanks with inverts run copper. I would wait for signs of parasites before medicating

Agreed. If you look the next time your at the store, most fish tanks are run off one system. Then inverts and low risk fish like draggonetts are often in another. Bc copper is in the fish system. By low risk fish I mean due to them being less susceptible to certain diseases.

Better to not medicate since there are many fish diseases, and you can't use meds correctly unless you know what you are treating. Best to look at your fish at least 2x daily with a magnifying glass to see if you can get a leg up on a developing problem. If you encounter a problem, post back and we can help you out with diagnosing. There are topics in the Disease Forum that can help you ID common fish diseases.

With clowns your biggest initial problem may be brooklynella. A parasite that causes a white filmy coating in the surface of fish body. These clowns are probably not a mated pair?? If not, the smaller one will likely be feeling some stress. Notice any aggression?

I just searched brooklynella up and I don't think they have it, maybe it's just how they were designed? Like the white part is faded

Just keep water conditions good in the quarantine, offer quality food, and keep an eye out for a developing problem.

I know why they looked lethargic now! Cause my ph was really low at 7.4, now I'm slowly raising the tank with dizzolved baking soda, and now they are already better! Swimming around like normal fish!

Water checkup is always the first thing to do when things look unhappy in tank. Take care with that though because if you are just dissolving the baking soda quickly it really is not all that stable yet, nor dissolved. Go extremely slow.

Hi why my clowns give each other "kisses" so the female kisses the male, and the male dosent react, the male does that and female dosent react either it's like they are have long a "peaceful fight" is something wrong and my male would swim against the glass, what does that mean?

Nothing wrong....as long as they aren't biting off pieces of each other, their behavior is good.

OMG MY CLOWNFISH DIED! Wtf?!
Is it because my big one killed it?! It has like grey bruises everywhere!
When I got the fish, the Color was faded didn't look normal and the white parts were turning grey, and then now almost the whole white part is grey! Is it abused?! Or is it a deisease? Is it my fault or the pet stores fault?
