Boil some water, put a towel over your head and inhale the steam through your nose. That will help. Lots of fluids.

Yes, the boiling water / inhale the steam works well, but be careful, the hot steam can burn your throat and sinuses, inhale slowly at first. Also, Afrin nasal spray works like a miracle, but be careful not to use it more than a week or so, you can get to the point where you'll need it just to breath well after the cold is gone.

that new tylonal cold stuff that is blue and comes in a bottle is the best ever . It works ten times better than nyquil .

Won't help immediately, but my wife uses something called a Netti pot (spelling). I think she found it on that large shopping network on TV. You fill this thing like a small tea pot with warm salt water (sorry not the salt we all have in 5 bucket containers) and you literally tilt your head over the sink...pour it in one nostril and it drains out the other.........
Yea, I know what you are thinking...too weird........I thought the same thing, but I tried it and it actually worked..............

i was told:
bourbon, honey, tea, and lemon. of course, one sip of bourbon would give me a massive hangover, so i didn't touch it, and yes, i'm still coughing crap out of my lungs since last tuesday (last week)

I know you said no meds, but just in case I am a big fan of Claritin D...in is OTC now, but they keep it behind the desk at the

[hr]
and not on the shelves. Make sure you get Claritin D and not just Claritin...one tab dries you up for 24 hours, no drowsiness or other side affects, for me at least. Make sure to check the box in case you plan on operating fork lifts or cranes...however on second thought I remember one of their commercial with a construction worker being "Claritin Clear" while sitting on a back hoe. Double check though...
Another thing we use for our baby and toddler is a humidifier in the room at night while sleeping. While you are horizontal, all the junk starts collecting in your lungs, the humidifier will help keep it clear, soft, and breathable.

Some really hot ,hot sauce will get the juices flowing for you even make you crack a sweat

I second that! I used to go to Taco Bell and get a burrito and pour 5 "fire" hot sauce packets on it. I couldn't even finish it without having to stop and blow.
Also, sushi with lots of wasabi helps.
The hot sauce makes your body sweat on the inside as well. It will push the mucus off of the cilia.

My wife was just given one of those by her doctor to help clear her sinuses and she LOVES it! It works great for her.
I am a big fan of Airborne. I take it when I feel like I am getting sick and it stops it. If you are already sick, it should help cut down the length of time it lasts for.

I don't know how many bottles of both the day time and night time of this stuff I have gone through in the past week. It really has helped where most medicines do not help at all.

I have heard of doing this, and people I know swear by it. I have yet to try it, but probably should, especially when allergy season starts back up.

Run the shower on HOT with the bathroom door closed and you not in there, til it gets all steamy, then go in there and sit for like 15 mins, I usually read a magazine or something. It helps sinus and chest congestion. Also, whenever I have a sore throat, instead of using cough drops or throat drops, I buy a bag of vitamin C drops. They taste alot better plus they boost your vitamin C level which is said to help colds. Always seems to work for me

neti pot, it works wonders. it's like a pot you put saline type mix in and put it in one nostril with your head tilted and it runs through your sinuses and wiht gravity runs out the other nostril. it's disgustting and gross but works.
