Is it okay to add cured live rock directly into an established tank, or do you need to keep it separate for a bit first?

What is the general rule of thumb for how many pounds of lr /per gallon of tank, (ie 1lb per gallon, or 2lbs per gallon)? thanks

Between 1-2 lbs per gallon should do nicely. I just added 100lbs to a 75 gallon tank. It looks good, but I'm thinking that another 30 or so would really fill my tank out nicely.
