cured rock question????

If you purchase live rock that is pre-cured, do u need to cure it again upon delivery b4 it goes into the tank?..thanks everyonoe..

if it is being shipped then yes there will be die off in the process.
you will have to cure it befor it goes into your main tank.

No, I'm afraid I don't know where Continental is. Lorain is right on the lake in between Cleveland and Toledo.
You can tell when rock is cured by smelling it. As a general guideline, when the ammonia smell is gone, it's done.

ok, i got my rock on delivery, its been in a 30 gal, w/ power head. its been in there a day, can i slowly move like a rock a day to the display tank. that wont spike my water perameters if i add it slowly will it?.. i have bout 100 lbs of rock in the display now, and am adding the new 50lbs...

If the rock's not cured yet, it's going to take more than a day. At least a week or two I'd think. The only way to know for sure will be to smell it as previously mentioned. Don'y put any uncured rock in your main tank.

Right, but during shipping-there is always some die-off, so therefore you still need to cure the rock. It just won't take as long...
