curing lr

how do you cure lr? does lr put a load on your tank like fish do

If you have an Est. tank you will want to cure it in another location..if possible add a skimmer to the place where the LR is going to cure and try and scrub and pry the "soft spots" out of and off the rock (will help it cure a little faster) and wait about a week or so and do a water change and just keep checking on it and you will know when it gets done..The smell the first few days is horrible..Dont do it in your living room :joy:

so i would put in 55gal trash can run pumps and skimmer? do i need to heater the water? do it need to be sw

Needs to be Sw I used a heater..Dont want the rock to get cold..
