I have asked different people and read different places, and I have accumulated umpteen different ways to do it.
I am sure someone on this site has listed a proper way to do it.
Please send a link to a post that has this information, or tell me your experiences.
I have a 75g in my bedroom. I used to have someone take care of it, but decided to do it myself after the first 3 months..so far so good ;)
I am going to start a 30g nano in my dining room, but I am curing more rock for my 75 in it...I know stupid.....YUCK!!!! I wish I had used a tub and put that nasty smelling stuff in my basement..lol I won't be able to have company for weeks trying to get rid smell

I am having to add more rock, because lovely maintenace guy messed me over BIG time!
(glad I fired him! )
anyhoo, how long is this going to take! Do I need to take it out periodicaly and scrub it.
Thank in advance,
dinks~

I have done this and will speak from my experience. The curing should take 1-2 weeks. I assume you know to check the levels, and once the Trites and Ammonia are 0, it's cured. if you scrubbed off the rock before putting it into the tank, then you should not have to do any more scrubbing. Check the rock for black spots. Most of the time that is die off and you'll need to get it off the rock.
