Why is it that no matter how much I feed my fish, they insist on feeding off of each others poo? My tank is mostly herbivore fish and every time one of the fish poops they run for it, gobble, gobble. %%
I assume that like a cat they cannot metabolise all of the greenery, but it is still gross.
Isn't this like recycling? My tank is going green..........how special.

Herbivores......they'll do that.
The food isn't fully digested, so yeah, there's still some vegetable goodness to be found in there. My foxface (sigh....) eats his own if the angelfish doesn't get to it first.

It probably is normal, at least they have done this since day one, but just curious. It just seems weird to us I guess since we don't do this......thank goodness. What is odd to us, is normal in their world.
