current fish get along w/ trigger ?

:help: I have a 50 gallon w/ atlantic tang and true perculla clown and thats it for fish , live rocks tons no coral though. I feel in love with my buddies clown TRIGGER can I buy 1 inch clown and everything go smooth for about a year until i get room for a larger tank ? thanks for any input !

i would say at this point i have a 3 in atlantic blue tang ,a perc clown clown trigger ,niger trigger and a pink tail trigger and a huma huma ,foxface and a baby violitan lion and everything gets along just fine but i have a 125with 200lbs liuve rock

neither any trigger nor the atlantic tang belong in a 50 long term.
as for triggers, i wouldn't recommend a clown trigger for any setup less than 250 gallons.
how big of tank are you upgrading to?

My buddy has 250 gallon but im not ready for a tank that big , I wanna move in a few months so i have to hold off . how fast do the clown triggers grow , I mean 1 inch juvi can become a 6 inch monster ?

I have a clown trigger and have not noticed that much growth in the few months I've had it. I would definately wait and make the upgrade prior to buying the trigger though and put it in last to cut down on the chance that he'll become too aggressive too fast.
They are great fish and I really enjoy watching mine, great personality.

I think this would be a very big mistake, personally. And for a larger tank for a clown trigger, I would recommend at least a 200g, and even then, it may not tolerate many other fish once it is grown.

yeah lfs said NO , so i bought a neon dottyback for $19 pretty good deal .... thanks for the input guys but man those clown triggers are sharp ...
