Current T5 bulbs

Has anyone had problems with the Current 460nm Actinic bulbs? I have a Current Outer Orbit fixture and have gone through 4 new bulbs in the last 2-months. The fixture is only 3 months old. I dont think it is a ballast problem, as it doesnt matter where I install the bulb. Also I have had two different fixures (the first one was returned under warranty). The 420nm bulbs are original and neither have burned out.

I have been using one for almost a year and a half without any problems with the fixture or the bulbs. I have been very happy with it's performance.

Every so often, one will come across a dud Current fixture. That sounds like what you have. Most times, Current fixtures work very well and are very reliable, but you get one here and there that has its problems. This is why Current fixtures are not as widely distributed as Corallife fixtures.

I am going through the exact same thing with the same fixture. I actually ordered mine in November. When I got it in it looked like it had been dropped during shipping. I contacted the seller who sent me another one. The new fixture arrived and worked well for right at a month until all 4 of the T5's quit working at the same time. Again they sent me another new fixture. Now three weeks later, I just noticed during feeding tonight that one side of the T5's are out again. That was about an hour ago. Since then I have been looking at new lights. I don't know what else to do. I just want to get rid of this headache! I'll keep watching this to see if anyone gives you any words of advice.

Mike,
My story is almost identical. I had my new fixture for 2-3 weeks then one side quit working. I swapped bulbs from one side to the other and the same side did not work. So I contacted the supplier and they sent me a new ballast, which I installed. Again the same side didn't work, so I returned the entire fixture. (They didn't send new bulbs, so I had to use the previous ones). When I got the new light none of the T5s worked. After a whole bunch of troubleshooting and frustration, I found out that one of the bulbs did not work and if I removed it, then the rest would fire. I bought a new bulb and all of them worked for a while. Then one side went completely out. I removed the 460nm bulb and the other one lit up. If you haven't already tried, I would install only one bulb at a time on each side. I noticed that if one of the 460 bulbs go out, then neither bulb will fire. So far the 420nm bulbs have worked.
4 bulbs later and I am still having issues.
