I've had my mind set on the Nova but the Orbit seems to be a much better light set up.I like the dual bulbs. It cost a little more and the bulbs cost a bit more to replace but it just seems a lot better.
Whats everyones opinions??
How often do these bulbs need replacing?
What about the reflectors???

the nova sounds like t-5 and the orbit actually sounds like a power compact light. did it say anything else on the description of them.

I can't speak to the nova, but I had an orbit on one of my tanks for a long time (now on my qt). Excellent light.

I had the 24" 130w (2x65w) unit on top of a 28 gallon bow-front tank. I had that system in my office until just a few days ago when my office decided it needed to come home. In that tank I had a bubble tip anemone for about 1.5 years, which grew deeper in color and more healthy under the Orbit. I also had a lot of mushrooms, zoanthids, and leather corals in there. All were in great shape. They are now in my larger tank at home, and the 28 gallon has become my qt, light and all.
I think it's a great light. Not sufficient for stony corals, but excellent for soft corals and (if it finds the right spot in the tank) okay for a BTA.

I have the Nova (T-5) and it is an excellent light. I have a 55g and the 4x54 watts is great for the few corals I have so far. Right now I have a few LPS (Branching Hammer & Candycane) and some Softies (Mushrooms, Zoanthids, Toadstool Leather).
The lights come with 2 10k bulbs and 2 actinic bulbs and the combination is very nice. When my lights go out, I plan on buying better bulbs.
