whats up? Im afraid im not getting enough flow in the corners of my tank. I have 3 300gph powerheads and a return from my sump thats somewhere between 100 and 200 gph. i was wondering if anybody has ever made a custom fitting out of pvc or something that can be placed on a powerhead and direct flow several different ways?

its a 55, is the hydor stationary or does it sort of move around on its own to give the tanks a more natural flow. i just want to create a flow that will benefit my corals as much as possible.

That product spins around (360 degrees), real cool product; and its about $15. You can use bigger power heads though. Try 3 maxi jets 1200 on a wave maker; you would really like it.

They just alternate your power heads off then on to create random waves in your tank. Do a search on this "Natural Wave Multi-Cycle Pump Timer"

I have CPVD drilled pipes in my tank right now....They are working great. I am useing 2 powerheads that were origionally on my boyfrirends 50 gal. They were a little to powerful for my 20 gal hight tank so we put one power head down low and one up high and wrapped the CPVC areound the back and 2 sides (one long line from each power head. I have tons of little hones drilled in it and it does a good job distributing the current in my opinion. !!!! Pluse it is cheap to buy CPVC so you can make it and if it isn't doing what you hoped you can always buy more and try something else.
