Hey man, my second favorite team is wherever Jon Kitna is playing, Jon and I graduated from the mighty CWU together, he and I played many a round of golf together, I will root for him until the day he retires. Now he is with the Cowboys and I want to cry

Kitna was OK here... we've definitely had worse. Had he been our starter all year we definitely would have won a couple games. But the front office fouled the whole situation up when they decided that he was no longer going to start. Instead of putting him on the bench to be a backup, (a role he actually would fill well), they stuck him on IR with a mythical back injury and released the guy. If they had kept him as a backup, you would have a decent, veteran insurance policy with starting experience. He may have even warranted an amount of trade value.... maybe even enough to get a deal done with Denver for Cutler, (along with picks of course)...

What chu talkin bout Willis??? The Lions traded Kitna to Dallas for some reserve cornerback...They didn't release him.

I too am super excited to actaully have a QB who will hopefully add some stability and consistency to our offense. On the other hand I think a lot of people are already expecting significant imporvements this season, but it has to be taken into consideration that this was a high price to pay for Cutler as the Bears have other holes in both the offense and defense that they will not be able to fill now that laid down first round picks. Taking everything into consideration I think it was a smart move. The Bears have been lacking a productive QB for years, and now they have a solid QB and who still has plenty of time for growth and development as he is only 25 years old. I still cant believe the Bears actually grew a pair and made such an aggressive move....GO BEARS!

Cutler is a toolbox....I can't think of a player in the league I would less like to have...Perhaps Vick, but that is it. The guy is an immature idiot, and a drunk....Not exactly trates I want in an NFL "Team Leader".
Ah what the Lions need to do is sign vick! Perfect fit. They have nothing, he has nothing. He can go back into the thug lifestyle in detroit.

Google Jay Cutler, and alcohol together.
Being in the golf industry, I have a friend at a course in Denver...Cutler was given a complimentary membership at one of Denver's finest (not at liberty to say which), his membership was revoked within 3 weeks for continously showing up looking like an Abercrombie and Fitch employee (not exactly appropriate at a course that costs about $100,000 to join), and acting like an idiot.
I thought, (and I may be wrong, since I'm not an A&F toolbag.) that they basically sold polo's and kakis?

I think there is something in the water here that makes QB's act like complete idiots. Plummer acted like a complete jackazz too. Elway must have had an immunity.
I think a good coach could have solved a lot of Cutlers issues. Shannahan never could handle players with tudes, look at the disaster he was in Oakland
Elway was too, remember Baby manning copied him when he got drafted.

Just curious how you cannot rip Leinart??? He's simply a bust, nothing more nothing less. Your HOF'er Warner was the backup but Leinart couldn't win games. You can't compare him with Rodgers, who actually came out and played well last year. The only similarity between these guys is that they are young and both first rounders. Leinart will never be a full time starter in the NFL.
I don't know, look at the other first rounder who plays for the titans. Heck look at Reggie. Those three have all been busts.

How appropriate that McFly posted right after Crimzy. "McFly, McFly!"

Leinart hasn't had enough of a chance to be considered a bust. The experience he gained thumping on Michigan in college was nice but sitting behind Warner is a valuable learning experience as well. I wouldn't count him out just yet. I also wouldn't get too exited about cassell till he backs up last season.

Everybody talking about Cutler, but this could be a great opportunity for Orton, the Bears may have the worst receiving core in the league, now Orton will have Brandon Marshall and Eddie Royal to throw too, Orton played for Joe Tiller at Purdue (right after Drew Brees) and the spread offense they run which is completely different from the smashmouth football of da Bears. The Broncos have upgraded their defense and I'm sure will even more in the draft. The Broncos had more running backs go down with bad injuries last year than I think any team could ever have....
I expect the Broncos could be pretty darn good next year and Orton may have a "break out" season....You heard it hear first.

Of course I would rather have Matt Cassell....Are you kidding?!?
How can you rip on Leinart, that's worse than trying to rip on Aaron Rodgers for backing up Brett Favre for several years, Kurt Warner is one of the top 5 QB's in the league.....Not surprising you are missing the point as you have on so many political discussions, Jake Cutler is a scumbag
. Dante Stallworth will be out of the league, and T.O. and Ocho Cinco are not good enough to make the Cardinals, so it doesn't matter....Ok I would rather have Cutler than Leonard Little from St. Louis.....Happy?

lmao it's good to know you're smart enough to choose a one hit wonder who played for an 18-1 team the previous year. Why would I make fun of Rodgers? He's proven in one year he can play with the big boys with all the pressure of playing in GB. While your boy leinart can't even beat out an aging Warner. leinart = BUST ...it's that easy, no lame excuses please. Tell me what has Cutler done that makes you call him a scumbag? Did he have any DUI's? Watch him own the NFC North for the next decade!

It's been fun debating with you, but no since in you getting in trouble, you better get back to work Squid...As your boss says "those dishes aren't gonna wash themselves!!!"

BTW, I will take that bet, Denver will be over 500 and compete with S.D. for that division.

Didn't mean to hurt your feelings with leinart. I'm sure he will be the real deal someday.

I think Leinart will be a good QB. He probably will never be great, but he should be a good middle-of-the-pack journeyman. I'm a KC fan and I am really glad we got Cassell. He took a pounding and kept winning. Brady proved me right in the Super Bowl. I always said when he gets pressured, he'll breal like a twig. Thanks for keeping him NE.
Cutler is a good, not great QB. He'll go to Chitown and have a couple unremarkable seasons and end up in Tampa or Carolina as the next great white hope, burn out and disappear to the "whatever happened to" programs on ESPN.
