Cyano in FOWLR

I have a 20 gallon FOWLR tank with a bacpac skimmer, biowheel filter and two powerheads...i am still getting cyano in my tank: what should I do? Thanks

r u keeping ur lights on for long periods of time cuz i got the same thing and cut my light time to 5 hrs and now its gone ...

cyano can be caused by lack of circulation (is the cyano showing up where your power heads dont circulate?) or it can be caused by too long of lighting or old bulbs.

I'm using a simple flourescent bulb about 6-7 hours a day: could this be the problem?

its probably contributing. there is probably a couple of things happening such as too much nutrition in the water, lighting and need for more flow.
